FIFA World Football Museum is hosting a special event at 17:00 on Monday 26 September 2016 to celebrate the release of EA SPORTS’ incredibly popular video game FIFA 17 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

To mark the occasion, reigning FIFA Interactive World Cup (FIWC) champion Mohamad Al-Bacha will take on Wolfsburg’s official FIFA player and 4-time German champion Benedikt Saltzer in a one-off clash on the giant screens of the museum’s Sportsbar 1904.

Visitors will also get an exclusive opportunity to try out the newest version of the FIFA video game series - three days ahead of its official launch. The ‘gaming zone’ within the museum will provide 10 consoles with FIFA 17 for guests to enjoy, and will open at 18:00.

The video game event will also feature a presentation from EA SPORTS and an announcement on the new FIWC tournament mode – with the competition becoming increasingly professional as interest grows ahead of the 13th edition’s qualification process starting on 1 October 2016.

You can check out the official Facebook event page for more information.
