Analogue and digital: more than 750,000 people engage with FIFA Museum in pandemic-dominated 2020

Despite the COVID-19 crisis and the resulting closure for several months, as well as further reduced opening hours and a significant decline in international visitors to the city, 766,834 people either enjoyed a trip to the FIFA World Football Museum in Zurich or engaged with its digital content in 2020.

Şenes Erzik donates his personal collection to the FIFA World Football Museum

The Honorary President of the Turkish FA (TFF), Şenes Erzik, has donated his personal collection to the FIFA World Football Museum. More than 200 objects, including coins, medals, mini-trophies and jerseys, have been handed over to the home of football history in Zurich.

FIFA World Football Museum displays “Meant to Bond” sculpture by Olympic champion Josephine Henning

After hanging up her boots at the age of 28, former Germany international Josephine Henning has now turned her attention to the creative arts. One of her works has just gone on display in Zurich: the “Meant to Bond” sculpture fashioned by the Olympic gold medallist and European champion is featuring in the permanent exhibition at the FIFA World Football Museum from 10 March to 15 May 2020.

On the rise again: More than 160,000 visitors in 2019

In 2019 the FIFA World Football Museum welcomed a record 161,700 visitors through its doors in Zurich, many of them attracted by a programme dedicated to women’s football and the interaction between different football cultures. This was the second consecutive year that the Museum set a new annual top mark for visitors attending its exhibitions and events in Switzerland’s largest city.

'Foot et Monde Arabe': the FIFA World Football Museum in Zurich presents a guest exhibition from the Institut du Monde Arabe

In conjunction with the Institut du Monde Arabe (IMA), the FIFA World Football Museum will be holding a guest exhibition called 'Foot et Monde Arabe' in Zurich from 4 October 2019 to 5 January 2020. The exhibition can be seen from Tuesdays to Sundays between 10.00 and 18.00.

"The Women's Game" exhibition brought to you by the FIFA World Football Museum and Hyundai in Paris

The temporary exhibition on the history of women's football can be visited at the Jardin Nelson Mandela in Les Halles, Paris, from 15 June until 7 July 2019. Entry to the exhibition is free and it is open every day from 10:00 to 20:00.
