On the historic occasion of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, the FIFA Museum is set to celebrate football heritage and culture globally in collaboration with Hyundai Motor Company.
During the 22nd edition of the biggest sporting event on Earth and the first one in the Arab region, they will together host a major exhibition on the FIFA Fan Festival™ at Al Bidda Park in the centre of Doha. Entry is free to all visitors. The exhibition named “Goals Create History” will open on 19 November 2022 and will run until 18 December 2022. As a cultural highlight at Al Bidda Park, the FIFA Museum presented by Hyundai can be visited during the operating hours of the FIFA Fan Festival™.
“Goals Create History” celebrates the FIFA World Cup™ through the passion and devotion of the fans today and tells its history through the players who have left an indelible mark on it in the past, with goals being the highest currency that shape the future. The exhibition will feature original objects and its stories from each of the FIFA World Cup™ finals since 1930 as well as unique multimedia experiences and the FIFA Museum´s iconic “Rainbow of Shirts” with the national team jerseys from all 32 participants at this year´s tournament in Qatar representing 32 football cultures - all playing for the ultimate prize.
This year marks Hyundai’s third collaboration with FIFA in holding the ‘FIFA Museum presented by Hyundai.’ The special exhibition serves as a part of Hyundai’s ‘Goal of the Century’ campaign at the FIFA World Cup 2022™, inspiring the world to unite under the theme of sustainability. With FIFA pursuing the ‘goal’ of passing down the World Cup’s greatest legacies to our future generation, Hyundai strives to attain its ‘goal’ by creating a sustainable and united world through universal love of football.
“This exhibition will allow fans across the globe to witness iconic moments of football history and also reflect on ‘goals’ in their own lives”, said Jaehoon Chang, President and CEO, Hyundai Motor Company.
“We are very grateful to our long standing partnership with Hyundai and thanks to our mutual collaboration, the FIFA Museum as part of the FIFA Fan Festival will certainly be one of the highlights in Doha during the 2022 FIFA World Cup with a unique exhibition that celebrates football heritage and culture,” says FIFA Chief Business Officer, Romy Gai.
