Nourishing the world champions: the dietary habits of 2014 World Cup winners Germany comes under the spotlight at FIFA World Football Museum.
Food Zurich is offering guests the chance to learn about the work that goes into feeding a squad of professional footballers in an exciting culinary event led by Holger Stromberg, a world-renowned chef who won his first Michelin star at the age of just 23 and has been in charge of the German national team’s food since 2007.
“If the fuel isn’t right, the motor won’t work properly,” he told FIFA.com, adding that football and cookery are not as different as people might think. “They’re both team sports. As an individual, you win nothing. Only the team counts.”

After seing the exhibitions, the football artefacts, the interactive stations and the stirring images on show, guests will listen to Stromberg discuss his experiences as the chef of the reigning world champions, and he will offer advice and tips on performance-enhancing food and healthy eating more generally. Visitors will then enjoy a four-course meal accompanied with wine.
