Football cinema: "The Two Escobars"

Thursday, 28 September 2017, 19:30 – a documentary about how sport, politics and organised crime in Colombia were all intertwined in the early 1990s.

Using portraits of drugs baron Pablo Escobar and national team defender Andrés Escobar, the film examines the intersection of sport, politics and organised crime in Colombia in the early 1990s and the tragic consequences it had for the footballing Escobar, who was gunned down after his infamous own goal.

The showing will take place in the new event hall of the FIFA World Football Museum. Snacks and drinks can be ordered in the Sportsbar 1904.
