On the occasion of the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2019 in Brazil, the FIFA World Football Museum presents an additional mini-exhibition about the youngsters' showdown. During the finals, which take place from 26 October to 17 November, different showcases in the permanent exhibition in Zurich will provide information on the history of the tournament.
From young talents to world-famous stars: Gianluigi Buffon, Andrés Iniesta, Neymar, Ronaldinho, Iker Casillas, Toni Kroos and many more have celebrated their first appearance on the global stage at this tournament series. In our mini exhibition you can find out which three players in the history of football have reached the final both at the U-17 World Cup and at the FIFA World Cup™ - and who is the only one to have won both tournaments so far.
In addition, historical pictures and video recordings from the history of the U-17 World Cup, which originally began as the U-16 World Cup, as well as a very special trophy await the visitors. The showcases can be visited as part of the regular entrance fee as part of the permanent exhibition.
