The FIFA World Football Museum invites you to the next edition of the popular ANPFIFF panel discussion as part of the "The Six Football Continents" cultural programme. From 19:30 on Wednesday, 13 September 2017, former Swiss national player Hakan Yakin and veteran manager and former coach of the Cameroon, Thailand and Jamaica national teams Winfried Schäfer from Germany, will discuss the topic:
Second home or just passing through?
After a long summer of transfer rumours and vast amounts of money changing hands, this event to be held in the "Rainbow" area of the museum will provide a refreshing look at another side of the football business.
How does it feel to join a new club? How quickly do players feel at home in their new environment? Why do so many choose to take the leap to move to a new country and, often, an unfamiliar culture? What reasons might there be, apart from the obvious career progression and sporting ones, to take such a step?
The panel discussion, moderated by Emmanuel Bucher, will take place in German and last around one hour with time for questions from the audience at the end. Entry is free.
