World champion Mustafi signs the "Wall of Champions"

A world champion visits the FIFA World Football Museum: a member of the German championship-winning team from 2014, Shkodran Mustafi, took time out to walk through the permanent exhibition at the home of football history in Zurich. As he did, the 25-year-old also signed the "Wall of Champions".

Mustafi is therefore the tenth world champion – after José Altafini (Brazil 1958), Roger Hunt (England 1966), Rainer Bonhof (West Germany 1974), Guido Buchwald, Pierre Littbarski (both West Germany 1990), Paulo Sergio (Brazil 1994), Christian Karembeu (France 1998), Cafu (Brazil 1994 and 2002) and Miroslav Klose (Germany 2014) – to honour the museum's "Wall of Champions".

Afterwards, the current Arsenal centre back took the opportunity to enjoy an emotional reunion with the original FIFA World Cup Trophy. Having had the honour of lifting the coveted trophy into the night sky in Rio de Janeiro following his team's 1-0 victory over Argentina after extra time in the final of the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ in the Estádio do Maracanã, Mustafi took the trophy out of the display cabinet at the museum and once again held it in his hands for a brief moment. "That moment is something really special for me," he said.
