World Cup Winner Mario Kempes reunited with the trophy

During his visit to Switzerland in mid-January, Mario Kempes took the opportunity for an emotional reunion with the World Cup trophy, which he won with Argentina in 1978. Much to Kempes' and the FIFA Museum's regret, his originally planned public visit could not be carried out due to complications with his flight. One day later, Kempes found the time for a short visit to the museum, unfortunately outside opening hours. Nevertheless, the double goal scorer of the ‘78 Final enjoyed his trip through football history and his reunion with the World Cup trophy. For all future visitors to the museum, Kempes marked his visit with his signature and a golden pin on the Wall-of-Champions.
