An absolute highlight for all football fans! Experience Germany's record international and 1990 FIFA World Cup winner Lothar Matthäus as part of our cultural programme series "History Makers" during a tour of the FIFA World Cup Gallery as well as in an evening live talk on our stage with our FIFA Museum Ambassador Pascal Zuberbühler.
He is one of the greats of World Cup history. With his dynamism and pure will to win, he led the West German team to victory in Italy 1990 as captain and midfield orchestrator. On Thursday, 19 May 2022, Lothar Matthäus will be with us live at the FIFA Museum to revisit the greatest moments and most precious memories of his successful career together with football fans.
Of course, the FIFA World Player of the Year 1991, who after his active career for clubs such as Borussia Mönchengladbach, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan was also able to get to know the football cultures as a coach in countries like Serbia, Austria, Hungary, Bulgaria, Brazil and Israel, will also be available for selfies and autographs.
Join us on that day and experience an unforgettable evening with a real world champion!
At 6 pm, museum director Marco Fazzone and museum ambassador Pascal Zuberbühler, former Swiss international goalkeeper for many years and a 2006 FIFA World Cup participant, invite all museum visitors to a tour of the FIFA World Cup Gallery with Lothar Matthäus. The world champion can be asked about his stories and emotions in context with the unique original objects in our permanent exhibition in an exciting dialogue with the fans.
