Dive into the history of women’s football! The women’s game has come a long way, from its beginnings in the 19th century to this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup™ in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. Just as the image and role of women in society has changed over the last 100 years, so too has the presence and acceptance of the women’s game in the world of football. Corsets are out and sports bras are in!
There are six boxes in the exhibition that tell the story of women’s football, so come with us on a journey of discovery with pioneers and women’s world champions!
