Women’s Football in Switzerland – Special Guided Tour with Guests in German & French

FIFA Museum Seestrasse 27, 8002 Zurich German & French

While the best female football players compete on the biggest stage in Australia and New Zealand, Switzerland celebrates its National Day on 1 August. For this occasion, in our special guided tour, we take a look at the origins and history of women’s football in Switzerland.

When did Swiss women play their first international match, and what was the highest victory at a World Cup? We have invited two experts in Swiss women’s football to join us on our special guided tour at the FIFA Museum:

Madeleine Boll
Former top football player and trailblazer

Simea Rüegg
Football blogger

During three dialogic tours, the two experts will provide you with insights into women’s football in Switzerland from the perspectives of different generations. They will explain the obstacles they personally had to overcome and discuss the current state of Swiss women’s football.

The tours will be conducted in German and French and are free to attend with a valid museum ticket.
