Germany

Finishing four times as champion, four as runner-up, and four in third place - Germany has more FIFA World Cup™ medals than any other nation. Its second victory, in 1974, came on home ground, where the team became the first to lift the current design of the trophy. With 20 appearances, Germany stands behind only Brazil in terms of tournament participations.
