Italy
Italy won its first two trophies back-to-back, making it the first of just two champions to successfully defend a title. This achievement also made Vittorio Pozzo the only coach to date to have won the tournament twice. Since then Gli Azzurri have become champions twice more, putting them as joint-second most successful team at the FIFA World Cup™.
