FIFA Museum welcomes millionth visitor

On Friday, 9 December 2022, the FIFA Museum in Zurich welcomed a very special guest: Mirthula from Bern, Switzerland, was the Museum’s one-millionth visitor.

The FIFA Museum has been welcoming visitors to Zurich since the beginning of 2016. In addition to the permanent exhibition, which continues to delight football fans from all over the world, there have been numerous special exhibitions in Zurich and internationally, including at the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018™, the FIFA Women's World Cup France 2019™ and currently in Qatar.

Adding up the visitor numbers of all these exhibitions, a very special milestone was reached on Friday: the millionth visitor entered a FIFA Museum exhibition.

Mirthula from Bern in Switzerland was visibly surprised as she received congratulations from Olivia Oeschger, Director People [&] Culture and Museum Services, and Alper Gökcan, Director Commercial, on her first visit to the Museum. In addition to a replica of the FIFA World Cup™ trophy from the Museum Shop, the two directors also presented her with a season ticket, which gives her free admission to the FIFA Museum in Zurich for a whole year. So, her first visit certainly will not be her last!
