The Peppermintas enter the FIFA Museum
On Wednesday, a very special tour took place at the FIFA Museum. Our FIFA Museum football expert Prisca Steinegger guided a group of young girls through the exhibition in Zurich.
Peppermintas is an initiative aimed primarily at girls aged 8–12, with the aim of inspiring them to take an interest in the fascinating world of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).
On Wednesday, more than 20 interested visitors responded to the invitation to get a glimpse behind the scenes of the museum, with exclusive insights on Swiss women’s football from Prisca Steinegger, former captain of the Swiss national team.
The group was particularly impressed by our collection of FIFA World Cup trophies on show and were an enthusiastic audience for Prisca's anecdotes. During and after the tour, they bombarded the former Swiss Footballer of the Year with questions, which she was delighted to answer for them. Then, of course, the obligatory selfies with Prisca and the FIFA Women's World Cup trophy were taken.
After the tour, participants had the opportunity to try out the interactive stations in our current special exhibition, ‘Innovation in Action,’ and even test the chip-in-ball technology for themselves.
At the end of this exciting and entertaining event, the children put their newly acquired knowledge to good use in a quiz, impressing us all with their football expertise.
