THE AWAY GAME is a brand-new, presenter-led discussion show, celebrating the culture of football by bringing impactful stories and conversations to an international audience.

Each episode will see an exciting panel of football legends and cultural voices assemble at the Whitney Museum in New York – an epicentre of culture and the co-venue of the final of the FIFA World Cup 26™ – to explore the rich heritage of football, its history, its immeasurable cultural and social impact, and the personal moments, stories and emotions of the beautiful game which should never be forgotten.

The Episodes

EPISODE 1: TOTEMS I TROPHIES & TRIUMPHS: WHAT IT MEANS TO WIN

Together with Jürgen Klinsmann and Carli Lloyd, we look at winning in football. We explore the symbolism and value of trophies and medals and dive deep into the personal memories, emotions and stories of our two legends.

EPISODE 2: ICONS I ICONIC DESIGNS: STYLES THAT TELL STORIES

Together with the USA’s FIFA Women’s World Cup 1999 winner Briana Scurry, as well as cultural expert András Szántó, we provide an insight into the massively powerful cultural impact of football as a global phenomenon.

EPISODE 3: IDOLS | LEGENDS & TRAILBLAZERS: PLAYERS WHO CHANGED THE GAME

Together with Stu Gower and German football legend Jürgen Klinsmann we delve into the intersection of fashion and football. We explore how celebrity footballers have set style trends, turning iconic kits into coveted items.

EPISODE 4: ARENAS I THE WORLD STAGE: HOW FOOTBALL UNITES FANS EVERYWHERE
