FIFA World Cup 2026™ Winner's Trophy on display from 2 January 2026
In January 2026, the original FIFA World Cup Trophy will embark on a world tour with Coca-Cola once again. Meanwhile, the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Winner's Trophy will be on display at the FIFA Museum in Zurich from 2 January.
The FIFA World Cup 2026™ is set to kick off in Mexico, Canada and the USA in just over six months' time. It will be the first tournament to feature 48 participants, with the World Cup in Qatar in 2022 marking the last with 32 teams competing for the title. After the final in New York New Jersey, the new world champions will celebrate their victory with the FIFA World Cup Trophy in the stadium. That trophy will then return to the FIFA Museum in Zurich, while the new champions will take the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Winner's Trophy home with them.
As of 2 January 2026, this coveted Winner’s Trophy will be on regular display at the FIFA Museum. For the majority of the next six months it will stand in the showcase usually occupied by the FIFA World Cup Trophy, which will be travelling around the world with the FIFA Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola from 3 January, returning to Zurich after the World Cup.
Of course, there is much more to discover at the FIFA Museum. Our permanent exhibition features a wide range of original artefacts from the FIFA World Cup™ and other FIFA tournaments, including the FIFA Women's World Cup Trophy.
In addition, our special exhibition, ‘Innovation in Action: Football Technologies on and off the Pitch’ will remain open until 31 March 2026.
