Yesterday, Livano Comenencia, FC Zürich defender and key figure in Curaçao’s historic qualification for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ visited the FIFA Museum in Zurich. During his visit, the museum received his match-worn shirt from the decisive qualifier.

The FIFA Museum was honoured to welcome Sir Rod Stewart on Saturday afternoon for a private guided tour.

From Sunday, 14 December, to Friday, 19 December, the FIFA World Cup Trophy will temporarily not be on show in our iconic FIFA World Cup Gallery. It will be back on display on Saturday, 20 December.

The special exhibition “Innovation in Action: Football Technologies on and off the Pitch” explores how technological developments have enhanced the way we perceive football.

Around 40 elite referees and their assistants visited the FIFA Museum after completing a training course organised by their association. The focus was on the special exhibition, Innovation in Action.

A key focus of the ‘Innovation in Action’ exhibition is referee technology. FIFA referee Alireza Faghani has witnessed this evolution firsthand, and parts of his gear are now on display at the FIFA Museum in Zurich.

On Wednesday, a very special tour took place at the FIFA Museum. Our FIFA Museum football expert Prisca Steinegger guided a group of young girls through the exhibition in Zurich.

Among the many fascinating objects in our new special exhibition Innovation in Action, visitors can explore a rediscovered set of fitness test documents from Brazil’s 1970 World Cup squad, offering a glimpse into early data-driven approaches to football.
